Mark and Marisa always knew they wanted to have their engagement photos taken in the West Village, which happens to be their very own neighborhood. This place is not only their home, but is an important part of their story together. I love that they chose to capture their West Village engagement session at a location that was personal and meaningful of the life they’ve built together here in New York City.
West Village Engagement Session
We spent the afternoon wandering through the streets of the West Village, stopping at some of their favorite spots along the way. The charming streets, architecture, and familiar corners of the neighborhood created a perfect backdrop. They joyfully walked along the streets hand in hand, laughing and just enjoying the moment. It felt more like I was there documenting them on a regular weekend afternoon as they walked their neighborhood, cozied up together at a local cafe, and watched the sun set over the Hudson.
Mark and Marisa revealed that they both share a love of lacrosse. And while that might be one thing they have in common, what really stands out is their chemistry together. They were so at ease with each other and their happiness together is evident in every image. It truly was a gift to witness and document.
Their West Village engagement session comes just a few months before they say “I do” in Saratoga Springs. They’ll be celebrating with their loved ones at the historic Canfield Casino this October, and I cannot wait! I know it is going to be a beautiful wedding day filled with even more joy and love.
Mark and Marisa, you two are so amazing together. It was an honor to capture this moment in your story and I can’t wait for the next chapter on your wedding day! Congratulations!
