Amanda and Matt are two brave souls who woke up before the sun did to take advantage of the quiet streets of NYC and the beautiful sunrise light. Matt grew up in StuyTown in the East Village and had an incredible childhood in NYC that most dream about. Late night hangouts with his friends always included a view of the Empire State Building. It seemed only fitting that we’d head back to his old stomping grounds to capture their session.
We first started on the East River and caught the most beautiful sunrise together. Then headed over to StuyTown as Matt gave us a tour of where his mom used to live, where he used to hang out with the guys, and even where he took prom photos. Exploring Matt’s past with Amanda was so magical as we snapped shots along the way.
Looking forward to their big day next year as we head closer to Amanda’s roots in Upstate NY!
