Ruby and Ben met the summer between their freshman and sophomore year in college thanks to their friend Kim (not me!). They initially met in 2008 but things didn’t get serious until 2017 when Ruby shot over a text to Ben to see if she could use a trial gym membership. Ben took a chance and the rest is history.
Not too often do I meet people who are actually FROM the city, native New Yorkers! Most, like myself, are transplants. But Ruby and Ben were lucky enough to not only live in the greatest city in the world but also meet their forever love here. I’m kind of jealous
Ruby spoke to my heart. When we first talked I asked her what her ideal wedding day would be like. She said she wanted a small intimate ceremony just her and Ben and their families at City Hall and we had just the day. After the ceremony we bopped around the city among some amazing government buildings and of course Chinatown where you’ll find the best Dim Sum. Thanks Ruby and Ben for sharing your Shumai with me 🙂
PS. Can we also talk about how we all want someone to look and care for us the way Ben does for Ruby?!
