Sarah and John might be some of the most sentimental and romantic people I’ve ever had the honor of knowing. As they planned their incredibly intimate wedding day at Lucas Confectionery, I knew I was in the presence of two special souls. After meeting at a Friendsgiving celebration a few years ago, John proposed to Sarah last spring. They began to plan their Troy wedding day soon after.
Sarah and John’s wedding day started with a first look. I have to admit, it was incredibly beautiful. Although after we left the Confectionery for a few shots, we all froze thanks to a winter blast that came through, but… it was so worth it! Sarah and John were absolute champs and stuck it out. You’d never know looking at their portraits that they were freezing – I think their love really was keeping them warm! We got them back inside quickly so they could be ready for the rest of their wedding day.
In front of 22 of their closest family and friends, Sarah and John exchanged their wedding vows. Married by the Mayor of Troy and exchanging the most heartfelt vows I’ve ever witnessed, their ceremony was incredible. I’ve seen my fair share of wedding days and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many guests crying! The love these two have is potent and everyone there could absolutely feel it.
Afterwards, the Confectionery was turned over for their dinner. Sarah and John welcomed their guests and thanked them for their love and support. Congratulations, Sarah and John! Thank you for letting me be a part of your intimate wedding day – and capturing these special moments for years to come! xo
I’m tremendously fortunate to have Sarah in my life. Whatever life has in store for us, the thought of sharing another tomorrow with her brings indescribable joy to my heart.
John has changed me so much for the better since we first met. I can’t wait to see how his eternal positivity and optimism continues to nurture us and the family that we look forward to growing together. I know that we’re so much stronger together than we ever were apart, and I look forward to facing new challenges and experiencing new kinds of joy together, side by side.
