Garden City, NY | Microwedding

Melissa and Ryan were due to have a large celebration at Saratoga National on October 3rd, 2020. Initially, when the world shut down, they were going to wait it out and hold out hope that things would be better by then. You know, like most couples in 2020. Well by mid summer it was clear. And their incredible wedding planners at Katie O Events waved their magic wand and was able to reschedule their date for August of 2021.

However, Melissa and Ryan wasn’t quite settled on pushing their actual marriage until then and had an intimate backyard wedding at Ryan’s parents’ home in Garden City, NY right outside of New York City on October 3rd. I was more than happy to be among their closest friends and family on the most perfect October day to make things official. Looking forward to celebrating again next August in Saratoga Springs, NY!

Congrats Melissa and Ryan! xo

Ryan and I had been engaged for a while when the pandemic first hit. There were many unanswered questions regarding our 10/3/20 wedding, but we knew in our hearts that we wanted to get married on that day, no matter what. We didn’t know what the day would look like, but as time went on, we were able to move forward with a micro-wedding, surrounded by some close family members. Although it was completely different from our original vision, it was without a doubt, the most perfect day.

After all the planning and energy we put into the original wedding, being surrounded by friends and family in an intimate setting turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Everything has been put into perspective this year and I couldn’t ask for a better partner to share it all with.
