I was lucky enough to celebrate not one, but two weddings with Ruby and Ben!
Family and friends came from all around the world to celebrate the couple’s Jersey City wedding. Prior to the big day, Ruby and Ben tied the knot at an intimate ceremony with their family in July. I absolutely LOVE their family, and not just because their parents took me out for Dim Sum after their City Hall wedding. You can just tell how much love they all have for one another and I absolutely adore Ben, Ruby and their family.
No matter how much time passes you’ll still find me SWOONING over Ben’s proposal to Ruby during a girls’ trip on a private island in Baha Mar. Ben planned the trip and then showed up in the middle of the vacation as a surprise to propose to Ruby. I mean talk about EPIC!
Ruby and Ben’s wedding venue, Hudson House, opened just two months before their November wedding. They were still putting finishing touches on the building when I did a site visit and a week later it was BEAUTIFUL on their wedding day. Plus, its location allowed us to take photos in front of the New York City skyline which is an all time FAVORITE of mine.
The day before the wedding there was a torrential downpour and we weren’t sure we’d be able to continue with an outdoor wedding. Luckily, it cleared up just in time to have Ruby and Ben’s wedding outside despite the cold. Afterward, the reception was held inside and it was one of the most fun receptions I’ve ever seen. Ben and Ruby had games for their guests to play! Games and glow sticks on the dance floor, it can’t get much better than that!
The way Ben looked at Ruby on their wedding day could melt even the coldest person’s heart. Their love is undeniable and I am so HAPPY to have been a part of their love story!

I am looking forward to being able to spend time with Ben after a long day of work and still feel like we’re in our 20s joking around even though we’re getting older.
I'm excited to be able to wake up and see my best friend every day. Her presence reassures me that everything will be alright and I know that I will be happy.
