Deer Mountain Inn || Wedding

Not quite sure where to begin in the best possible way, of course. Tess and Danny’s love story is one made in a writer’s room (a good one!) in LA which has beautifully transcribed into real life.

These two met 6 years ago at a friend’s birthday party in Santa Monica before heading off to two separate Halloween parties. Tess had masterfully dressed up as Poison Ivy, green and all. So while Danny couldn’t quite see what she actually looked like through the green, he knew she had the most beautiful smile and her personality radiated through. So much so that it was clear that the universe had conspired to bring their souls together for a match written in the stars. And a trip to Lake Tahoe together was what solidified their relationship status and you could say the rest is history.

When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew that there was no other place they would want to invite their nearest and dearest than to a place that holds such significance to them. Tess has been visiting the Onteora Club since she was four years old. The Onteora Club was founded in 1887 as an artist’s summer colony and still serves as an escape for many from the city. It’s beautifully nestled into the Catskill Mountains and served as the most picturesque escape for Tess and Danny in 2020 when the pandemic hit. They hosted a beautiful Welcome Reception at her mom and stepdad’s home, Witchwood, in the Onteora Club on Friday where Tess also got ready Saturday and then just a few short miles away hosted their grand celebration at their family’s property, Deer Mountain Inn.

They’ve always envisioned getting married on the mountaintop and while weather was definitely touch and go that day, we did get a few glimmers of sun that didn’t dampen the glow that shined from these two all day. The way these two care for each other, laugh with each other and the way they were sneaking glances in each other’s direction all day, you couldn’t help but feel like you were witnessing this incredible beginning of a chapter for two lovely and deserving souls together.

Congrats Tess and Danny! Thank YOU for inviting me to such a momentous day for you and your families. It was absolutely my honor to be with you on such an incredible weekend.
