Nicole and Josh’s intimate Lake Placid wedding day was more than just a celebration. It was the beginning of a new chapter, one that officially brought their lives together as a family of six. The couple first met decades ago when Nicole was an intern at the same company where Josh worked. At the time, their connection was purely friendship. Now here they are on their wedding day with their four beautiful children standing beside them, making up the entire wedding party. When it came time to choose a wedding venue, Nicole and Josh, who are based in the D.C. area, knew they wanted to be in Lake Placid, as it is a place that is special to them, especially Nicole who visited when she was a child with her family. They wanted an destination wedding where they could invite their closest friends and family to celebrate their union together. The Lake Placid Lodge was the perfect spot, allowing them the privacy they wanted for a fully intimate and immersive wedding experience. Quietly tucked into the Adirondacks and surrounded by nature, it provided the most beautiful backdrop to their summer wedding day. The relaxing atmosphere allowed everyone to slow down, be present, and truly celebrate together.
Thoughtful Wedding Details and Timeless Design
Their wedding design complemented the rustic and natural setting beautifully with a timeless palette of white and green. The white florals were mixed with greenery that had a cascading effect, which looked stunning along the mantel at their ceremony. Another special detail from their day was Josh’s cufflinks, which were gifted to him by a U.S. Senator. At the wedding reception, candlelight provided a warm, romantic glow, while more classic, white flowers and greenery decorated the elegant tablescapes.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds along with their children took to the water for a quiet boat ride across Lake Placid. It was a beautiful moment.
