After first connecting with Colleen and Kyle on LinkedIn (I know, how random for a wedding photographer, right?!), and having our first phone call, I knew they were going to be an amazing couple to work with. And I was right. From their gorgeous West Village engagement session to their Old Hollywood Glam inspired Grand Cascades wedding day, these two have been incredible. I loved every minute of their late fall wedding. From the off-the-shoulder bridesmaid gowns to the elegant indoor ceremony, every detail had been chosen with love.
Colleen and Kyle decided on Grand Cascades for their fall wedding day after visiting together. Kyle actually used to work there when he was younger, so it had even more meaning for them. It was a chilly day, but looking at their wedding portraits, you’d never know. Colleen and Kyle were such troopers – and so were their friends and family! After getting ready separately, they met for a gorgeous first look under the trees. Colleen looked gorgeous – and Kyle was blown away!! It was such a sweet, emotional moment.
Grand Cascades proved to be a beautiful spot for their Old Hollywood glam wedding day. Their ballroom was converted between their indoor ceremony and reception into an elegant party space, filled with simple centerpieces with candles and green and wood touches. Colleen and Kyle had the most fun wedding cake, too! Tiered with sprinkles, it just reminded me how fun wedding days really can be!
