FAQ’S
Do you work with a second shooter?
Each event is different and in certain cases, additional assistants maybe added to the team.
When will I see my photos?
The editing process is 6-8 weeks from the date of your event. I always provide you with a sneak peek within a week of your event and the remainder of the photos will be provided within the 6-8 week time frame.
What rights do I have to the digital prints?
All of the packages include the digital files so you will receive full reproduction rights to all of your edited images. You will be able to reproduce the images for personal use; prints, social media, etc. If you do print your photos, I highly recommend that you trust your print quality to a high quality printer.
What is required to secure my date?
Once you have submitted your signed agreement and a retainer of 50% of your total package cost, I will send you a countersigned agreement and you’re all set!
When is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance will be due no later than 45 days before your event. I can work with you to set up installment payments if you wish, however the full amount is due before your event.
Are your travel fees included?
Yes! What you see in your custom collections is inclusive of taxes and travel fees. I like to call them the “out the door” cost.
Do I need a wedding Planner?
Having been a witness to several beautiful days, which can be so joyful, it can also bring emotions of overwhelm and stress. I STRONGLY recommend hiring a planner (separate from the coordinator that your venue provides) for your day. There have been more scenarios than I can keep track of where planners have literally saved the day without the couple even realizing there was an issue. I’ve heard of couples regretting NOT hiring a planner but have yet to hear anyone regret having one. Even if you believe that your strengths lie in operations and planning, it is different once the event you are planning is filled with lots of emotions and family dynamics. Your wedding day is the ONE day where you are the most honored guests and you shouldn’t be working your day. After you book with me, I will provide you with a Preferred Vendors List that will include some recommended planners I’ve worked with, vetted for and I can personally vouch for.
What happens if it rains?
We can only control so much and weather is not one of them. I will be in regular communication if rain or any other inclement weather is in the forecast. We will work together to come up with a back up plan that everyone is happy with.
can you recreate images from my pinterest board?
Pinterest is great when gathering inspiration for what your event may look like; florals, colors, etc. However, I will never use a Pinterest board to copy or recreate work that is not mine. I do my best on each given day to create images that truly reflect what your day looked like and felt like. During each event, I respect the way the day unfolds, true to the relationships that are unique to each couple and their guests and capture it as it is. I’m watchful of the way the sunlight hits, the uniqueness of your venue, etc. By allowing my creative brain to be more observant, I’m able to really capture your day in all of it’s beauty, true to how it is.
I’m hoping to get my wedding published. How does this work?
That’s great! Publications are usually looking for styled editorial shots that others can use as inspiration when they are dreaming up their own event. In order to ensure they have all the shots they need when submitting to publications and blogs, your coverage on your day will need to allow for extra time to style your detail shots. If this is something you’re interested in, be sure to let me know that this is a goal for you so we can plan for it and identify which publications your event will match up well with.
