Although every wedding I photograph means a lot to me, Mike and Lindsey’s wedding was extra personal. I’ve known Mike for over 14 years – I met him in the early days of dating my own husband. In fact, my husband was his Best Man. This wedding had been so anticipated for our entire family. It didn’t help that Mike is the last grandchild to get married in our family. There were definitely a lot of tears over that alone – not to mention all of the other emotional moments we had during the day!
Lindsey and Mike met after college. We all instantly fell in love with Lindsey and couldn’t wait for her to be a part of our family officially!! To start their day, Mike and Lindsey got ready separately at The Lodge at Turning Stone Casino before heading over to have their first look and ceremony at Dibbles Inn Orchard & Estate. We had a great time tricking Mike with the horse head on my husband before actually bringing his beautiful (almost) wife out to meet him!! Lindsey looked like a goddess with her sweet floral crown and flattering gown!
These two tied the knot under a simple and elegant arbor outside on this warm June day. Unfortunately, Lindsey’s mother couldn’t be with us – so we made sure to leave some flowers for her in the first row. And, when Lindsey came down the aisle, they played a sweet song in homage to her mother. There seriously wasn’t a dry eye anywhere. Although the day was supposed to have loads of clouds and rain, we wound up with a beautiful sunny day for Lindsey and Mike. I have no doubt those who couldn’t be with us helped with that special treat.
Lindsey and Mike ended the night with a beautiful rustic inspired reception at Dibbles Inn. Everyone danced, enjoyed some fun toasts, and had a great time celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Congratulations again, you two! We are so glad you’re a part of our family!! Thank you for letting me capture this entire day for you – it means more than you’ll ever know! xo
I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us, but I love the moments that we share now…the nightly cuddles on the couch with our pug, Ollie, and the weekends of adventure that help us grow as a couple…living in the moment and focusing on the present is what will make our future so bright.
I am most looking forward to seeing what kind of adventures we will go on in the coming years. Mike loves to get me to try things that are out of my comfort zone and I’ve already seen and experienced so many new things since being with him. I’m excited for us to be able to adventure to new places and take part in new experiences together.
